EURO WIPES has committed to understanding and analysing the impact of its business on the environment and has established its Carbon Footprint every year since 2013. We have seen a reduction in our carbon footprint since 2015. We are continuing and speeding up our efforts.

• Use of natural ingredients and green chemistry in our completely safe and harmless innovations.
• Removal of plastic from wipes by the development of innovations that only use natural fibres.
• Increase of the share of natural fibres from FSC certified sustainably managed forests.
• Promotion of ingredients from organic farming via Cosmos certified hygiene, care and beauty innovations, or Ecosoin certified innovations for pets
• Development of finished products with compostable “OK Compost Home” certified formulae and material, and eco-packaging.

Water: an essential resource to be protected!
 
We optimise water management in our processes and analyse our waste.
 
Our treatment plant for the production of purified water is equipped with a waste recycling module in order to limit the amount of water used as much as possible. Our cleaning and rinsing cycles have been optimised to greatly reduce water consumption.
 
All our waste water is subject to strict quantitative and qualitative monitoring by a COFRAC-approved external laboratory.

Energy: controlling our consumption.
 
We deploy eco-responsible actions and remain sensitive to our surrounding natural environment with the setting up of several eco-responsible actions.

• Sustainable development approach to increase our production capacities: low-energy equipment, improved waste sorting system, electronic documentation on production and administrative tools, etc
• Installation of clean energy such as solar panels – 3,500m² on site producing 20% of our energy consumption

Eco-grazing: rational management of parkland
 
Since 2017, about twenty Ouessant sheep have been freely grazing our 2 hectares of fresh grass and offer an alternative to mechanical mowing that is both ecological and financially interesting, all under qualified control.
